Pizza Fraction Circle for Learning & Practicing Fractions

From identifying basic denominations to mastering complex addition and subtraction, this kit grows with your student’s skills, making it the perfect companion for grades 1 through 5.

Key Features: 

• Tactile Spatial Learning:  Fraction size differences are both physical and intuitive. 
• Crust Base Tray: Unlike other kits, this includes a recessed "whole crust" base. Allowing students to test whether their slice combinations form a complete whole.
• Distinct Slice Denomination: Each denomination is separated by the topping on the slice. Ex. Halves are a "cheese" pizza slice and "pepperoni" are fourths. 

Standards & Curriculum Alignment

1. CCSS.MATH.CONTENT.1.G.A.3 – Partition circles and rectangles into two and four equal shares, describe the shares using the words halves, fourths, and quarters.
2. CCSS.MATH.CONTENT.2.G.A.3 – Partition circles into two, three, or four equal shares; recognize that equal shares of identical wholes need not have the same shape.
3. CCSS.MATH.CONTENT.3.NF.A.1 – Understand a fraction 1/b as the quantity formed by 1 part when a whole is partitioned into b equal parts; understand a/b as the quantity formed by a parts of size 1/b.
4. CCSS.MATH.CONTENT.4.NF.B.3 & 5.NF.A.1 – Understand addition and subtraction of fractions as joining and separating parts referring to the same whole; add and subtract fractions with unlike denominators.
